Location: Holyoke, MA (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite)

Length: 12+ months

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Indirect Purchasing Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Senior Indirect Purchasing Analyst will be responsible for independently managing the procurement process, ensuring adherence to purchasing guidelines, company policies, and strategic objectives. The Senior Indirect Purchasing Analyst will contribute to the development of innovative purchasing strategies, source new product streams, acquire vendors, and optimize purchasing processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Independently process purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Conduct RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs to support specific project needs and facilitate vendor selection.

  • Identify and develop new vendor relationships to optimize product streams and enhance purchasing strategies.

  • Manage data related to purchases and contracts, contributing to the development of purchasing standard methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

  • 7+ years of purchasing experience, including management of RFPs, RFQs, requisitions, and purchase orders.

  • Proficiency in procurement cycle management, whether manual or automated.

  • Strong command of purchasing management fundamentals.

  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Adobe Pro, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Willingness to work additional hours during peak operating cycles.

  • Experience using Lawson 10/FSM purchasing software is preferred.

  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
