Location: Chelmsford, MA (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite)

Job Description:
Our client is looking for an Acoustic Signal Processing Engineer to be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on projects that span a wide range and research areas. The Acoustic Signal Processing Engineer will work on various commercial, military, or medical technology projects. Innovation and problem solving will be a major part of the Acoustic Signal Processing Engineer role along with the ability to work productively with a diverse team of researchers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Self-starter with the ability to recognize and creatively solve complex problems.
Perform experiments in an independent and inventive manner.
Serve both as an individual contributor and lead a project team.
Take ownership of project success and maintain customer relationships.
Identify and manage project schedules and risks.
Support business development through proposal writing and the pursuit of strategic partnerships.
Document project progress.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or closely related field (PhD is a plus but not required) with 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience with phased-array processing and array design.
Hands-on experience with Active Noise Reduction (ANR) or Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
Knowledge of adaptive filtering and statistical signal processing.
Experience with acoustic testing, data acquisitions, and data analysis.
Experience with embedded DSP system design.
Broad interest in science and technology with a willingness and interest in expanding into new fields and learning new techniques and skills.
Knowledge of mathematical modeling or physical systems with a background in statistics or information theory is a plus.
Excellent writing skills.
